Landscape
The landscape design and associated planting at Wild Olive Estate is forming an integral part of the architectural design process and is not seen as an "add-on" once a home or building is complete. Well-designed gardens, courtyards, avenues, water features, terraces, pools, pergolas and fences are used to enrich and complement the Natural Environment and Architectural Style of the development. We expect that the landscaping of stands will be considered as an integral part of these home designs and that the outdoor spaces be as well planned and detailed as the homes themselves. The design of external spaces and the link between the land, water and built form is seen as integral to the character and aesthetic success of the estate as a whole.
Special care will be taken by the design team to design people friendly spaces. Residents and visitors will not be restricted to motor vehicles, but walkways and bike routes will be designed to stimulate and enhance outdoor enjoyment. It is foreseen that the estate will tie in with the Seven Dams Conservancy and home owners will be allowed access to this one of a kind conservancy with its abundant fauna and flora. The Seven Dams conservancy offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, camping and picnics. (Landscape guidelines for the estate can be found under documents)
